When you email us to register interest in a stay at Redwood Summit, we receive your email address and any details you choose to include in your message — for example, preferred dates, group size, or riding level.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site we collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics 4, which may include:
- pages visited, time on page, and referral source
- device type, browser, and operating system
- approximate geographic location (country / region only)
Google Analytics uses cookies to measure this activity. IP addresses are anonymized where supported.
How we use your information
- To respond to your registration-of-interest enquiries
- To notify you when bookings open, if you have asked us to
- To understand how the Site is used and improve its content and performance
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unrelated to Redwood Summit.
Cookies
The Site uses cookies set by Google Analytics for the purposes described above. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or install a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Third parties
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — receives anonymized analytics data. See Google's privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) — hosts the Site. Server logs held by GitHub may contain IP addresses. See GitHub's privacy statement.
We do not share the content of emails you send us with any third party, except where we are legally required to do so.
Data retention
- Emails you send us are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond, and — if you have registered interest — to notify you when bookings open, after which they are deleted.
- Analytics data is retained for 14 months (the Google Analytics default).
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- request correction of information that is inaccurate or out of date
- request deletion of your personal information
- withdraw consent where our processing is based on consent
